How we work

Every program is built around the same idea. We teach you how to work with your dog using positive reinforcement, so the household keeps running the protocol after the program ends.

Specialized Training · 21 days

Full Specialized Training

Sometimes you just need some help in getting your dog under control. Our Full Specialized Training program is 21 days. Your dog will learn proper etiquette for living in a house with people, how to correctly greet people without jumping, and obedience. Your dog’s obedience behaviors will be at an advanced level. The specialized training program can be done for less than the full 21 days. It is offered on a per-day basis. With less than the full 21 days, results will vary.

  • Leash walking in high-distraction environments
  • At least a 15-minute down-stay in high-distraction environments
  • Reliable recall around distractions

Private In-Home Lessons

Private In-Home Lessons

Most behavioral issues are best addressed in the dog’s home. With private lessons you and your dog will be one on one with a professional dog trainer. Any training issues can be addressed with private lessons. Some examples of behavioral issues that can be covered with private lessons are obedience training, aggression, or separation anxiety. There are no contracts. Fees are on a per-lesson basis.

Group Classes · 5 weeks

Advanced Obedience

We sharpen every basic obedience behavior and add new ones: return to heel, walking down, and other real-world cues. Class is held out in public places so your dog learns to work around actual distractions. You MUST have completed Basic Obedience first. Space is limited.

Puppy Kindergarten

This class is designed to start you off on the right track with your new puppy. We cover housebreaking, chewing, care for your puppy, start obedience training, and basic puppy manners. This is a 4-week class.

Recall Classes

Improve your dog's recall over 4 weeks. Bring a retractable leash for the first one or two classes. After that we move to a long training line that Scott provides. Your dog must be semi-friendly with other dogs since the group walks around freely on long lines. We meet in different locations each week.
